Posted on June 25, 2014

Volunteers are needed to help at the Famosa Slough wetlands preserve on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 9am to 12pm. We are going to plant new California native plants and wetland plants, remove invasives, and clean up at the Famosa Slough and Channel treatment ponds and other areas of the Slough. We will meet at 9am at the corner of West Point Loma Boulevard and Famosa Boulevard.

Please email info@sandiegoyoungphilanthropists.org if you’d like to join so we can give an accurate head-count.

Wear work clothes (preferably long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat, and sturdy shoes). If you have them, bring work gloves, gardening or weeding tools, or clippers. Refreshments, gloves and tools will be provided.
