Help Prepare 40k Meals for The Hungry- June 14th

Posted on May 20, 2014

Avoya Travel is hosting a Friends and Family Community Connection (FFCC) Fight Against Hunger food packing event to prepare 40,000 meals that will be distributed both locally and internationally to countries like Tanzania, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Philippines and more. One package of food provides six nutritionally-complete servings to feed starving children. The cost of these meals is only 25 cents per and covers the cost of rice, protein, vitamins, and vegetables as well as the cost to ship and track the food to its final destination.

If you’d like to help package these meals on Saturday, June 14th in the parking lot of New Community Church in Vista (165 Eucalyptus Ave), please register for a one or two-hour time-slot at http://ffccsd.ivolunteer.com/atfpe. They still need over 150 volunteers! Below are some of the time slots:

7am-9am: SET UP VOLUNTEER

9am-10am: FOOD PACKAGING VOLUNTEER

10am-11am: FOOD PACKAGING VOLUNTEER

10:30am-12:30pm: TAKE-DOWN VOLUNTEER

*Please Note: In the spirit of volunteerism we believe it is important to share with you community events that are not necessarily hosted by SDYP. Although we make every effort to attend all events, an SDYP founder may or may not be in attendance.
