Volunteer at the San Diego Food Bank- October 29th

**You must email info@sandiegoyoungphilanthropists.org if you’d like to volunteer so we can get an accurate head-count.**

The San Diego Food Bank feeds over 300,000 people per month, and they rely entirely on volunteers to inspect, sort, and package tons of food for distribution every day. Join SDYP after work on Wednesday, October 29th from 6pm-8pm to help out! Volunteer projects include:

  • Cleaning and packaging fresh produce for immediate distribution.
  • Inspecting, sorting, boxing, and labeling food donations.
  • Assembling food packages for the Senior Food Program, Moms & Children Food Program, Food Assistance Program, and the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program.

**Please no open-toed shoes, loose fitting clothing, jewelry, or high heels. There is parking available in front of the building and on the east side of the building; volunteers will meet in the lobby through the double doors.
